As i have been listening that the previous program was not working for some computers, i have another solution to remove write protection from pen drives.

1. Back-up all information from your pen drive, as this method will format it.

2. Download and install Apacer Formatting Utility attached below.

3. Keep your pen drive plugged in and remove all other pen drive for accuracy in formatting.

4. Run the utility from the icon in the desktop. Wait until the formatting is completed and the LED light in your pen drive stops blinking.

5. Remove the pen drive and plug it in again.

To disable write protection in removable drives which don't have any switch to their sides, you can follow these steps:

1. Open Start >> Run, and type regedit to open the registry editor.

2. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.

3. Double click on WriteProtect and set the Value data to 0. Click OK, ext registry editor, restart PC and try opening the drive again.

NOTE: Sometimes the Key is not found or does not exist in the registry. In that case, download a simple file (add.bat) attached below, run it and add it to the registry. Then try step 2 again.

Hey guys. Tired of the black wallpaper and a notification that your Windows is not genuine? Time to revert this back.

I found out RemoveWGA last year for my XP Desktop, and the application worked out for me. You also must try if you are a victim of WGA Warnings and Blackouts. But as always, Use at your own risk!!
