To disable write protection in removable drives which don't have any switch to their sides, you can follow these steps:
1. Open Start >> Run, and type regedit to open the registry editor.
2. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.
3. Double click on WriteProtect and set the Value data to 0. Click OK, ext registry editor, restart PC and try opening the drive again.
NOTE: Sometimes the Key is not found or does not exist in the registry. In that case, download a simple file (add.bat) attached below, run it and add it to the registry. Then try step 2 again.
