Required Material:

1. Windows XP CD of your version.
2. A keyboard to enter the commands.

Difficulty: EASY

Having tried out all those useless troubleshooting tips from Microsoft, my eyes finally fell on something I don't bother about -- My Windows XP Installation CD-ROM.

Click "Read More" to see the steps.
These are the steps I followed:

1. Grab the Installation CD-ROM of your version of Windows XP (Professional/Home/Media Center). Make changes to the boot setting such that your primary boot device is set to your CD/DVD Drive.

2. Put in your CD and restart the computer. Setup will ask you to Format or Repair your PC. Usually Pressing "R" will take you to the recovery menu.

3. Now, you have to type in "CHKDSK" without the punctuation marks and hit enter. After few minutes of patience it will show up the results.

4. Considering that your computer has a damaged Boot sequence, type in "FIXBOOT" without the punctuation again and hit enter. This will create a new Startup Sector on the OS Partition. Once the Boot Fix is done, type in "exit" and restart your computer.

5. After the restart, your OS will ask you whether you want Safe Mode or any other mode. Choose "Last Good Configuration" and use Windows with no other Blue Screen Problems or errors, retaining all your files.

Hope it helped. Please comment and share/like if it worked for you.
